I 💕 a backstory...

She was born a middle class Black child. Rashawn Nadine Scott is an actress, singer and comedian from Tacoma, Wa. She studied Theatre Arts at Western Washington University before moving to Chicago to pursue her career in comedy. The ever-optimistic Rashawn moved to the city in the dead of winter of 2013. (Who does that?) Thankfully she survived the winter and started taking improv classes and inserting herself into the improv community. Playing on independent teams and honing her skills.

In 2014 Rashawn was a recipient of the inaugural Bob Curry Fellowship, an 8 week masterclass offered by the legendary Second City. Following the program Rashawn was tapped to understudy Second City's Mainstage and national touring company. She was also a featured player in the critically acclaimed collaboration between Second City + Hubbard Street Dance Company, The Art of Falling.

Rashawn was then fast tracked through both the E.T.C. and Mainstage at Second City in Chicago. She performed in several revues, e.t.c’s 39th revue Soul Brother, Where Art Thou?, 104th revue Fool Me Twice, Deja Vu, and the 105th revue The Winner of Our Discontent.

Her work can be seen on Fox's Empire, NBC's Shrink, and the Netflix film Win It All. She's even been a featured panelist for Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me on NPR. She’ll be seen in the upcoming Comedy Central Series Southside.

Summer 2018 Rashawn moved to Los Angeles for the CBS Diversity Showcase.

Since landing in Los Angeles Rashawn has had her hand in amazing productions. Short films with incredibly talents across the city as well as landing a role on ABC’s Abbott Elementary, DropOut Tv’s Game Changer and Dimension 20: Burrows End.
